no racing stuff on tv

So this was my first weekend w/o racing and yes I definetlty need to get a life.
I did not know what to do with myself today.
It was rather sad.

sigh!

so he won

So I am sorry but I have gotten a little bored with the last 3-4 races.
I think we all knew that Jimmy Johnson was gonna win.

I was a little sad to watch Raceday for the last time and the last pre-race ceremonies but I had to admit it this year I have gotten a little bored with watching racing every weekend. It's been a little dull for the last month or so.

So now I am looking forward to an exciting season of 2009.

last race

so this is the last race weekend....I am gonna be all bored for 3 months.
or I will finally find time for hiking and human interacting.....lol

Kyle Busch made me cry

So Kyle Busch which I used to not like made me cry.
I was so moved when he made a $ 100.000 donation to Sam Ard in his victory Speech in Texas last weekend. I used to think he was just a punk but he had been growing on me and other fans as it seems. I don't recall anybody booing him this last win.

So now I think that Kyle is pretty awesome. Maybe he just had to grow on all of us.
Or maybe he just grew up and grew accustomed to fame in NASCAR.
Or maybe he is just humbled by seeing and knowing the other side of fame. You can fall fast and you can also end up poor with nothing.

Whatever made Kyle more likable. KEEP IT UP Kyle!
I am a fan now.

Here is a link to a nice article about the Kyle donation on NASCAR.com
Made me cry again.

Lewis Hamilton is the 2008 Formula 1 champ

Congrats to Lewis Hamilton. He is the youngest F1 champ in history. He is 23 years old. He is also the first black driver to win a championship in F1.

This makes me especially happy because he has been treated very unfairly in this sport this year.

He soooo deserves this.

GO LEWIS!!!

It was an absolutely awesome race and the decision came down to the last seconds.
Can't wait till 2009.

Jessica Simpson dreaming of Dale Jr.

this is just freaking hilarious....now I too think she is a dork

go to NASCAR.com and then go to the video control room and click on Jessica's wild dream.

check it out.....would love to know what Junior's thoughts are on this.
unfortunately i was on vacation and missed that race and everything about it.
this is toooo funny!

SCOTT SPEED to Sprint Cup in 2009

AJ Allmendinger out and Scott Speed in for 2009.
I was kinda afraid that would happen.
I am a big Scott Speed fan (I was a F-1 girl first) but I cannot help but be sad for AJ. He is a great guy and great racer. Wish someone would hire him and give him a good chance for next year. Maybe Kyle Petty should retire and put him in his car.
Lets face it Kyle always runs at the end of the pack and AJ has been doing so well.
Good Luck to AJ. hope he gets a ride soon.

poor Kyle Busch

Man I am not a big Kyle Busch fab. Although he has been kinda growing on me.
But how heartbreaking is it that you won everything on the planet or so it seems all year long and then the 2 first races in the chase everything falls apart and brakes.
After one race i thought it was bad luck but now after two it's like a conspiracy for him to loose everything. This is crazy. I know there is nobody out there sabotaging Kyle Busch but man if I would not know any better i would think there is.

This is crazy and I cannot help but feel bad for him...hang in there Kyle.

NASCAR takes backseat to college football

Here we go again, didn't we have these issues last year?
The race is supposed to be on ESPN 2 but college football is not done yet.
I personally do not care. I hate football.
So it says on the bottom to go to ESPN Classic. Heck I have no idea where ESPN classic is on my cable since they moved it. So I had to go on the internet and find out. This is sooo ridiculous.

And did they rename the Speedway in Calafornia? I am confused.
Also what is up with the announcer? He could not remember the name of the series that
that guy stars in?

Jeeez....too many issues when they are racing in California.
Or so it seems to me.

Well now that i vented I am gonna go enjoy my race, hopefully.

Congrats to Joey Logano

well it was the worst kept secret and everyone knew that he was gonna take over
the number 20 car but I still think it is exciting news.
I am excited for him and I think he is gonna do just fine.
Although he is very young still. He has his head on straight and he is gonna
handle it all calmly as he has done so far.
Can't wait to get my fan gear.

Racing things I wonder about

So I think it has been a weird few weeks.
Many things are changing and not all of them I like.
Here are some questions I have and things i wonder about.

Why has nobody snatched up Dario Franchitti for 2009?
Why does Clint have to leave his Jack Daniels car?
Why can't Scott Riggs get a ride?

hmmm, guess this can kinda be a heartbreaking sport, and it is not
always about talent it is a lot of times also about who you know and who wants to sponsor you.

Very tuff and strange at times.

Also have Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch just been horribly arrogant lately or is it just me?

Monday, August 11, 2008

This was a huge crash. Glad to see Bobby Labonte is okay because he hit hard. And Sam Hornish Jr's hit was one of the craziest crashes I have ever seen.
Hopefully everyone is well including all the photographers that were standing right there.

Finally a win for Marcos Ambrose

Wow finally a great weekend for Marcos Ambrose.
What a weekend for him
A great win in the Nationwide race and a 3rd place in the cup race.

Congrats to Marcos. It was time for him. he has done so well since he
has been in the Nationwide series but just never had a win.
He must be the happiest guy in the world and his smile even brighter than usual.

Saturday, August 2, 2008

Marcos Ambrose unlucky again

Wow what a bummer for Marcos Ambrose. He is one of the unluckiest guys in the series but what I love about him he always gives pleasant interviews and he always keeps smiling. And always keeps a good attitude. Although today he almost did not manage a smile.

I cannot wait till he wins his first race because I cannot think of anyone more deserving.

Nationwide Race in Canada

First of I gotta say finally NASCAR did some racing in the rain that was exciting.
Formula One does it all the time. It was exciting to watch. It was truly a great race.

BUT i think they should turn back laps a bit before all the crashes under caution happend because lets face it is not the drivers fault that NASCAR did not stop it sooner. Great Drivers crashed out under yellow. I just don't think that is fair.
They should review it. AND fix it.

Well at least i think so!

Carl Edwards without his shirt

Oh my god!
Here I am watching the pre-race show for the Nationwide race and they should clips form Carl Edwards' bike tour to gateway.
And he had a tank top on and then no shirt.

All I can say is Holy Bleeeeeeep!

The man is hot! And it's all hidden under that suit.
What a shame!

check him out:

Scott Speed wins Arca Race

Scott Speed wins Friday nights ARCA race.
Did I mention I am a Scott Speed fan too?
I used to watch him in F1 whenever you can watch F1 in the United States which is not often. F1 was my first racing love. I used to watch it back home with my dad. But after moving to the US I had to suffer without racing till I found NASCAR and Drag racing.
Anyways I cannot wait to see Scott Speed hopefully in a full schedule in the Truck series and hopefully soon thereafter Nationwide or Sprint cup.
That guy is a true racer and he is good.

So I am glad there is more racing going on this weekend than I first was aware of.

Friday, July 18, 2008

yeah there is a Nationwide Race

so I am gonna be okay....no withdrawals...no panic

A weekend without racing!?

Wow a weekend without racing. I am depressed already!
What am I gonna do? Sigh!
I could have taking a vacation since I won't be glued to the TV.
Or I could go to the beach! Or do some crafts. Paint something.

Hmmm!

Call me weird but I don't know what the heck to do with myself if
I don't watch all my pre race shows and racing.

Yes I know I am sick!

LOL...I think I may get over it.

Tony Stewart leaving JGR

Well this week has been full of Tony Stewart news.
I am not sure yet how I feel about the news.
He looks happy and relaxed. I think it is the right decision for his future.
And he seems to be a great business man. So I am sure in time he will built a great team.
But I am not sure I am gonna like to see one of my favorite drivers riding around in the back of the pack.
Hmmm
I know all of us where upset last year when Junior lost the number 8. Everyone had to change gear and all. And we fought for him to keep the 8. And now we are all happy and fine with the 88 and the new colors and Junior is doing great and seems happier.

So I guess I should not worry about Tony?

I was watching all his interviews and you could tell it in his face how happy and relaxed he is.....but you can also see the bittersweet reality of leaving Zippy behind. I hope they really stay friends. Well we shall see how the next few months play out.

I cannot wait to see who he picks for the second car and who the sponsors are gonna be.

And of course next year.........if gonna be crazy to wait and see.

TNT coverage at Daytona

I absolutely loved TNT's coverage of the Daytona race. That was an awesome picture.
Also loved that we had fewer commercials.

PLEASE keep it up TNT.

Junior finally wins

Congrats to Junior. He finally wins a race. I truly think this is just the beginning for him. He has finally settled into his new team and his new car.
He is gonna be bigger than ever.
It was very exciting to watch and I waited for someone to cry because I already was.
LOL

JOEY LOGANO wins the Nationwide race in Kentucky

Oh my god this is soooooo AWESOME!
Congrats to Joey Logano on winning his first Nationwide race.

This has been an awesome race. The fans in Kentucky are great.
You could hear them throughout most of the race. They have been
cheering loudly.

I am so happy for Joey. He deserves this win.
Two poles in 3 starts and now a win.

I can not wait till they have shirts and gear for him because
I want one to show my suppurt.

Go Joey!
Congrats to you!!!

WOW Kyle Busch crashed in Kentucky

Wow I am absolutely speechless that Kyle crashed himself out of this race all by himself. That was sooo weird. I just sat there with my mouth hanging open.

Is he losing his cool? Because Joey can beat him?

HEHE!!!

I am a big Joey Logano fan...

Wow I suddenly love watching the Nationwide races which I used to not always watch. But now I make it a point to be home at that time like I do for all the Sprint Cup races. I just love to watch Joey Logano race. He is truly amazing. Although he had a bad finish last week he has scored his 2nd pole in just 3 races.
Boy I cannot wait till he wins his first race.
And as much as I used to dislike Kyle Busch I even like to watch him race now.

Well go Joey, you will win sometime soon!!

# 48 's hair.....what is up?

Okay so I don't really wanna make fun of people ....BUT WFT is up with Jimmie Johnsons hair?

TGOM mentioned a few weeks ago that something is up with Jimmie's hair and I was thinking...nah he just has a different hair cut.
But after seing him today on NASCAR NOW there is definetily something up.
It looks darker, it looks like a lot more and it is kinda long.

HMMMMMM!!!! very weird. Can't wait till someone reports on that...

Brad Keselowski wins in Nashville - his first win in Nationwide

Congrats to Brad Keselowski. He wins Nationwide race in Nashville.
Go Navy!

I am so very happy for Brad, he is a great talent. I just wish for Junior that he could have been there to see his driver win. I am sure he is jumping up and down up in Pocono. I am especially happy for Brad to win, that shows Kyle and some of them cocky Sprint cup drivers that he can dot it....GO BRAD!!!

He is a great kid, a great driver and he did a great interview in Victory Lane.

Darn....no win for Joey Logano today

....awww I guess I will have to wait a little longer to see Joey Logano win.
This sucks...

A little mad a Biffle to, for being all Mister-Cocky-Sprint-Cup-Driver saying he did nothing at all.

Next time Joey.

annoyed by Rusty Wallace ...yet again!!

Why on earth would Rusty Wallace say that Marcos Ambrose was too close to his Steven when Steven clearly slowed down?

Is it me or should he not comment on a race where his car and his son are driving?

Boy he can get on my nerves.

Joey Logano is on the pole in Nashville

Oh man I cannot wait till the race starts. This is his 2nd Nationwide race and Joey Logano is on the pole. (And I missed qualifying because I got a pedicure....sigh)
He is gonna make the Nationwide series so much more interesting...it had been kinda boring lately. And in a lot of his races in his racing carrier he has won the second race in a series. So this will be exciting. This is gonna be great.

He is a great talent and I think the world is gonna start seing it.
Let's go racing!!!

Ford Martin on YOU TUBE....a must see

Ford Martin is the son of Gil Martin, which is the Crew Chief for Clint Boywer.
Check out this clip. It is awesome!! I love it

Big crash in Dover

A couple of laps in and a big crash at Dover.
And a lot of my favorite drivers are involved.
I am very sad for Tony because they have been struggling. Junior is doing awesome and is in contention for the championship.
I thought it was very mature of Tony to say it is all his fault, while Hamlin was being his new arrogant self and did nothing wron. I am really starting to dislike him. His head it getting way to big.
My heart really bleeds for Junior and Tony and Sadler.
Well lets see what happens in the rest of the race.

Joey Logano's first Nationwide race

Wow I think he did awesome. He made a few mitakes but he had a great finish.
He is such a great guy. He was not happy with his result though. He is awesome, he just wanted to win. I cannot wait for next week to see him in another race.

Today the guys on Raceday on SPEED were are specilating that he will be in the 20 car next week. They seem to think that Tony will sign with another team.
Wow that is definetly gonna be an interesting story to follow.

One thing is for sure I am definately a Joey Logano fan no matter where he races or what car he drives. He is just fascinating to watch.

Last time for "Boogity Boogity" this year

Awww I am sooo sad. Today was the last time we heard Darrell Waltrip say that for this year. The Fox team wll not be back until February 2009. This makes me sad every year. They are fun. Although I like SPEED and ESPN too.
Does that mean no "Digger" either?

sigh

Joey Logano....first Nationwide race

I cannot not wait until this weekend. It will be Joey Loganos first Nationwide race.
There has been a lot of hype about him now...one I think it was Fox or Speed they called him the best thing since sliced bread. Well I hope he will do well and does not let all the hype get to him. But he seems pretty level-headed to me.
I wish him the best of luck and cannot wait.

Go Joey!

anybody else tired of hearing about Kyle Busch?

Wow Kyle Busch is everywhere.....he is like Superman right now...lol
Well I have never really liked him or his brother but I got to admit he is on
fire right now. He is a good race car driver but I do think he spun Dale Jr. out on purpose. So I kinda don't wanna like him.

But I cannot deny that he has great talent. And he sure is giving my Tony reasons to wanna do better and even more competitive. So yeah I think he is making Tony and Hamlin better.

So should I try to like him better?

Sunday, May 4, 2008

Dale Jr. has class like no other

Dale Jr. sure has some class.
In an interview on Victory Lane on SPEED he would not say anything bad about Kyle Busch knocking him out of the race. Jimmy Spencer was very vocal about it. But Junior even told the guy that interviewed him not to put words in his mouth. He would not say anything negative about Kyle or threaten retributuon or curse or anything...it was a truly awesome interview.
Gosh I admire him for how he handled that interview....he sure has class like no other.

Oh and a funny thing he said is that he if he wants to talk to Kyle Busch that he probably would have to get in a long line....

I am convinced that Junior will get his win soon, he already is everyones favorite and even more so now.

Hug to Junior....hang in there! You are the better man for sure.

Joey Logano

JOEY LOGANO wins Rockingham ARCA race.......he ROCKS!
And congrats also to Billy Venturini his crew chief.

Joey Logano..........is just awesome

Have you heard of Joey Logano?
I have been following his story for about 2 years now. This kid is a born racecar driver. I am watching the Arca race right now and he has lapped almost anybody on the whole field and we are on lap 213 of 312. He is an incredible race car driver.
He is only 17 years old and he already has great success.

2007 - NASCAR Busch East Championship

2007 - New Hampshire Int'l Speedway Track Championship

2007 - Toyato All-Star Champion

2007 - NASCAR Busch East Rookie Of The Year Champion

check out his bio

http://www.joeyloganoracing.com/bio.html

Today he started on the pole in his FIRST Arca race.......wow
And as soon as he turns 18 he will be in the Nationwide race in Dover.

He is exciting to watch and I cannot wait to see him in his first Nationwide race.

Go Joey Logano!!!
I definately am a fan.

Richmond

Well looking forward to a night race.
Other than that I have worked too much this week to see much of the pre-race stuff or qualifying so I don't even know what is going on.
Hopefully it will be a great race.....I am looking forward to it.

Ashley Force wins her first race

Congrats to Ashley Force. She won her first race. This is exciting. I love to watch her and the family race. I am so happy for her.

CONGRATS!!

It's Raceday....and it is Talladega

Ahhh it is Raceday! Finally Talladega. Although I am a little bummed. I was at the last two Talladega Spring Races but am at home this year. But it will be awesome anyway. I just love watching all the pre-race shows on SPEED. Even if I missed some stuff yesterday I can catch up today. I just love race day morning......yeahh
Ahhh no better way to spend a Sunday....sigh

Saturday, April 26, 2008

Remember the Phoenix race....no pre-race show on fox because of stinking baseball?

Remember how we all got cheated form the prerace shows because of baseball(yuck)?
Well I did what proably thousands did and complained to fox and this is the response I got.
hmmm..cannot say this makes me feel any better.

Smoke finally took Talladega

Ah I am so glad my favorite driver finally bested Talladega. Or at least he did it in the Nationwide Race. Maybe all the reporters stop giving him a hard time now. Haha.
It was a great race to watch ...lots of action as always in Talladega. I am a little said for Junior though. I wanted him to be second. I have been to Talladega before and I know how the crowd goes wild when he goes to the front. It is very exciting. That place truly is Junior Nation.
Wow now I am super excited for tomorrows race...I cannot wait.

And of course they also had one of the"big ones" that took out some drivers that were doing exceptionally well.

Starting another blog

So I am starting another blog.
I love all sorts of racing....NASCAR, Indy, Formula I, drags....I just love it but mostly I am a NASCAR gal...and don't even remember how I got hooked...lol
